WP6 benchmark files

In this page simulation files for benchmark problems for system-wide, networked and embedded control design are available. For a detailed description of the zip files content we redirect the user to HYCON2 WP6 deliverable D6.1.3.

The first benchmark addresses the problem of designing the Automatic Generation Control (AGC) layer in power network systems. In particular, three different scenarios are presented and performance levels that can be reached using Centralized Model Predictive Control (MPC) are discussed. These results can be used as a baseline reference for comparing the performance of alternative control schemes.

The second benchmark concerns investigation of the formation forming and formation flight problems for the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) case. After a brief description of the dynamical model for the selected UAV, a simulation scenario is described. Moreover, three different metrics for performance evaluation are provided.

For both benchmarks, centralized and decentralized/distributed/hierarchical control solutions are proposed and described.
