Matteo Rubagotti, PhD

I was born in Voghera (PV), Italy, in 1982. I received the B. Sc. and M. Sc. in Computer Engineering, and the Ph.D. in Electronics, Computer Science and Electric Engineering (curriculum in Automatic Control) from the University of Pavia, Italy, in 2004, 2006, and 2010, respectively.
During my Ph.D. I held visiting positions at the Center for Automotive Research of the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio (7 months), and at the Automatic Control Laboratory, ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2 months).
From January 2010 to August 2012 I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Mechanical and Structural Engineering of the University of Trento, Italy, and then in the DYSCO research unit at IMT Lucca. From August 2012 I moved to Nazarbayev University, Astana, Kazakhstan, as Assistant Professor.

My main research interests are on digital embedded control systems, model predictive control and sliding mode control of nonlinear systems, hybrid dynamical systems, and mobile robotics.
