HOW
TO GET TO SIENA FROM FLORENCE |
BY
CAR
Coming from the north on the motorway / freeway (Autostrada
del Sole - the A1), leave at Firenze Certosa. Immediately after
the tollgate take the Superstrada Firenze-Siena (4 lanes) for
60 kilometers.
BY BUS
The bus station "SITA" is located 50m from the main
train station in Firenze. You should get
the bus "Siena RAPIDA", which
brings you right downtown Siena. (timetables)

TRAIN
Getting from Firenze to Siena by train is possible, but it
takes quite longer than by bus. Also, the
train station in Siena is not walking distance
from downtown. Anyway, it's an option.

HOW
TO GET TO SIENA FROM PISA |
BY
CAR
From the airport take the main road towards Florence. When you
get near Florence (Firenze) you should follow signs for Rome
/ the A1 motorway towards south (try to avoid the centre of
Florence). This takes you around Florence until you get to the
exit Firenze Certosa. Leave the motorway here and take the dual
carriageway to Siena.

TRAIN
There are no buses from Pisa to Siena. You always have to
change trains at Empoli.

BY
CAR
From the south take the motorway / freeway (Autostrada del Sole
- the A1) and leave at Val di Chiana. Follow signs for Siena
for 50 Km.

BUS
Take the shuttle train to Roma
TIBURTINA. From Roma TIBURTINA you have a bus leaving to Siena.
After Piazza Gramsci (in the centre of Siena), the bus stops

Take the shuttle train
to Roma TERMINI. All trains change in Chiusi (there are no direct trains).
