PARADES

The Project for Advanced Research of Architecture and Design of Electronic Systems (PARADES) is a collaborative effort between Cadence Design Systems, Magneti-Marelli, ST-Microelectronics and the Italian National Research Council, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR). The main focus of the collaboration is to create a distributed architecture and a methodology to improve time-to-market for advanced electronic products specifically in the automotive electronics field.

In addition to previous co-development and technology marketing experience, each contributor to the PARADES collaboration provides unique experience which allows the results of the research to be transferred quickly into usable products. Magneti-Marelli supplies valuable input for the development of control algorithms; ST-Microelectronics' competence in integrated circuit design is key to developing new distributed architectures; Cadence contributes a design methodology for embedded systems that considers both the hardware and software components of the design.
